The gate nobody rebuilt
Thirty-Six is modeled on the clean version of the circuit and keeps the gate as its own section. Two controls, threshold and rate.

External sidechain
The detector accepts an external input, so gain reduction is driven by a signal other than the one being compressed. High and low pass filters on the detector path restrict which part of that signal triggers it. LISTEN monitors the detector feed directly, so you can hear what the compressor is responding to before you set the threshold.

“Thirty-Six delivers the vitality, definition, and clean gain I look for as a mastering engineer.”
Gabe PerlussMastering engineer“When you absolutely slam it, it starts adding a sort of pumping effect that can completely redefine the entire pulse of the track.”
SonofmidiDJ and producer“Getting the perfect punch out of any drum or percussive element is so effortless and consistent that it feels like magic.”
